Newsletter #2 – Home Invasion Update
Good morning Folks. Just a real quick update on the High Point Home Invasion. The shooter did enter through an unlocked door and unloaded his firearm at Kimberly. She remains hospitalized. Her purse contents were discovered near a small lake in the area. There are still no apparent leads on the scumbag so that means he is still out there with a gun! I will also let you know as Tony completes my home window treatment--should be within next two weeks. One other alert--Pinellas County has been experiencing a rash of armed robberies (20+) of small businesses. The subject is approx 5'4", 220lbs plus and red-headed. His favorite target is small businesses owned &/or operated by women (consignment shops, bakeries, etc). His MO (modus operandi) is usually afternoons between 1-5PM and characterized by extended surveillance of his intended target. For instance, he robbed the Nu2U Consignment Shop (Belcher & Nursery) approx 2:30PM after watching the place for about two hours. So far the scumbag has not hurt anyone but the potential is clearly there if challenged. He may have done another one yesterday in Largo with a slight change in MO. Stay Safe! Norm 727-535-9151
Tip of the Day: Remember to "case" the place before entering. Take a good look inside before you walk inside. Signs of concern would be the absence of a sales clerk, hands in the air, man with a gun, etc. Please remember the "Duck Theory"; if it quacks & walks & looks like a duck, it's probably a duck! Another rule to live by is if you can't see inside, don't go inside particularly if you might be going into one of this guy's targeted areas!
